..

And don’t think it’s not free because it’s cheap and nasty because it isn’t.  It’s actually a very high quality product and I use it myself – this is free because the creators are wanting to help people get traffic to their sites and offers...

..

Let’s face it, we were all told it was easy to do this interent martketing thing, right? NOT TRUE – some parts of the process might be easy for some people and other parts of it might be easy for others, but getting enough quality traffic to help with rankings and make sales is NOT EASY AT ALL!YouTube Marketing Blunders This free software will help with that.
..

PLUS Free Marketing report

And as an added bonus, if you pick up the free software from one of the links in the email, you’ll get as an added bonus a free report called YouTube Marketing Blunders. It’s not a longwinded report, but it contains a lot of useful information about how to make better use of YouTube and other video platforms in your marketing.

New Amazon Business

..

Hot Hut Stuff Wine Saver Vacuum PumpI have been very quiet on this blog for a while because I’ve been concentrating on getting a new business up and running with my daughter, an Amazon business where we source products from China (or elsewhere) and sell on amazon.com

p

Yes we bought a course (ASM) so we could follow instructions and at least have a fair idea of how to go about it. For our first product we found a vacuum seal specialist manufacturer in China and ordered our wine saver vacuum pump and stoppers sets from them.

p

If you are a wine drinker (who doesn’t finish the whole bottle in one sitting) then you’ll know that wine left in bottle that has air in it goes off and tastes sour and horrible. The solution is to use stoppers that will seal tightly around the bottle neck and a vacuum pump attached to the stoppers draws all the air out, creating a vacuum in the bottle. This is the way we have preserved food for centuries after all, so we know it works.

p

Our Hot Hut Stuff pump has been tested to keep the wine fresh longer than 14 days, in some cases is to 30 days but that is not guaranteed. To see our pump and how to use it, have a look at the YouTube video below or check out our new website at hothutstuff.com where we have the same video running as well as other features of the product such as the fate ring indicator on the top where you can set the day you sealed the bottle and know how many days it has been sealed.

p

Finally the product has been made, shipped, through US cutoms, inspected and listed in Amazon and ready for sale herep

..

Update May 2015 – We are also selling in Australia now, both on ebay.com.au and from our this link on our Wine Pump website hothutstuff.com/sales

Take a Course on Udemy

udemy_logo_600_w_backgroundI am a great fan of Udemy and have enrolled in a number of courses, some completed and others not yet.

I am in good company because there are 2 million in 190+ countries are taking online courses on Udemy. Course they are taking include:

Programming,  Yoga,  Design,  Photography,  Spanish,  Marketing,  Guitar,  Finance,  Cake Decorating and many many more

More than 12,000 courses (in 10 different languages!) have been published in our marketplace. Each course is designed & taught by an expert instructor and hundreds of new courses are published every month.

So whether you want to get promoted, break into a new industry, start a company, or just further a passion, Udemy’s here to help you achieve your goals.

It’s not just about taking other people’s courses either – anyone can be an instructor, teach a course and charge money for it!

It is a huge opportunity, because Udemy hosts all your course content for you, videos, power point presentations, audio, mindmaps, text etc, whatever teaching materials you prefer, with the proviso that at least 60% must be video content. They even have an excellent free course teaching you How to Create a Udemy Course.

Naturally, there a some standards to be met,

but there is so much help and support that I believe anyone who has something to share could teach it on Udemy.

I am practising what I preach and have just started my first course. Will update you as I go along……

Learn from a Udemy Course Today!

Do you love to learn something new?

I do and I have enrolled in several courses in a fairly new institution called Udemy.

Udemy

Our team recruits the world’s top experts, including New York Times best-selling authors, CEOs, celebrities, and Ivy League professors. These expert instructors have taught over 500,000 students on Udemy, helping them learn everything from programming to photography to design to yoga and more.

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 2010 & is funded by Insight Venture Partners, Lightbank, MHS Capital, 500 Startups and other investors who previously foresaw the internet giants YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Groupon and Yelp.

Udemy helps students make moves. Whether you want to get promoted, break into a new industry, start a company, further a passion, or just accelerate your life, Udemy helps you learn from the amazing instructors in the world, so that you can get there and get there faster.

If you are an expert in some area, Udemy empowers you to create a course and teach online. Best online teaching tools (for free!), a supportive instructor community, and expert course creation & technical teams dedicated to your success.

There is something for everyone there.  I am currently learning about photoshop, Kindle publishing, mobile marketing, website security and how to create training videos.

We all experience bloggers block from time to time, but don’t let it stop you from giving your subscribers the content they’ve been waiting for.

Here are 7 ideas that will help you come up with blog posts worth reading.

 1) Test or Review Something And Post Your Results

If you’re really stuck for ideas, why not give yourself a challenge and post the results? For example, in the personal development niche this could mean making a gratitude list each day and writing about the effects. Or you could try a new fitness program and write about how you’re dealing with it. In most cases, readers in any niche love to read real life case studies!

 2) Google It!

Why not Google the main topic of your blog and see what appears? You don’t want to copy any other blogs, of course, but one idea will often lead to another. Have a read around blogs in your niche – maybe even blogs outside of your niche – and see what they’re writing about. Either use this as inspiration for your own topics or write a direct response to what’s already out there.

3) Find Helpful or Interesting Videos & Share Them With Your Readers

Why not get surfing YouTube and see if there’s an interesting video you can share with your subscribers? Embed the video into a post where you give your own personal comments. This is a super-fast way to come up with content that’s still interesting.

 4) Use What Happens In Your Daily Life As Inspiration

You might not be writing a personal blog, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring personal experience into the posts you write. If you can relate personal experience to the topics you write about, then do so. Sometimes you have to get creative, but your blog posts will be more interesting as a result!

5) Ask Readers To Ask Questions

What better way of coming up with content that your readers will enjoy than to invite them to ask questions? Write up a quick post one day asking them what they want to know, then post a follow up a few days later with all the answers. This last method is also an excellent way to connect with your audience.

0006_TRS_3DC6) Give Your Readers a Poll to Participate In.

Not everyone will ask questions, but if you give your readers a short, relevant poll to complete you can get some great feedback

7) Check Your Analytics to see what people are typing in their searches

Checking your stats can leave you with a whole range of blog post ideas. Take a look at the keywords people are typing in to find your site. Chances are that some of the things they’re searching for aren’t on your blog yet. Why not use these keywords as ideas for future blog posts? You’ll also have the added benefit of knowing there’s a future audience for those posts!

Keeping in Touch at Xmas

Nearly Christmas time again and the end of another year – it's amazing how fast the time goes by.

Christmas is a time for family and friends, for catching up with those you haven't seen for a while and for telling others you appreciate them and how much they mean to you. What better way than to send them a greeting whether as a phone call, a letter, a card in the post or an e-card or perhaps a personal video greeting.

Do not be daunted by some of these ideas as they can be fun to make and your sentiments are appreciated by the receiver. Let's start by examining the options:

If you want to make your own greeting cards, or just want some festive icons to add to emails or web pages, you can get these great Xmas icons free from Mighty Deals – just click on their "Free Stuff" tab. They come in 3 sizes, 64 x 64, 128 x 128 &  256 x 256 so come in very handy for a variety of projects. Mighty Deals also have Xmas stickers free just now – they are on currently on page 2 of the Free Stuff. There's heaps of other graphics in the free stuff as well, so check them out.

Xmas Icons For e-cards with a unique touch, you can't go past Ojolie.com  –  I first heard about Frederikke's cards way back in 2008 (see my earlier blog post for more information) and have renewed my very low priced membership ever since ($12 for one year and $18 for 2 years). I've lost count of how many cards there are available, but there's a wide selection for all sorts of occasions and the great thing is that the membership area keeps track of that cards you have previously sent to the people on your email list there. They have a nice selection of free cards as well for you to try for yourself. Many of my friends have commented on the delightful cards I've sent them, so check them out at Ojolie.com or on facebook.

If you'd like a video to share this Christmas, try Animoto – they make it easy to use your own photos, text & even videos to produce a professional looking video message.  You can make a free one of 30 seconds or less with some limitations on the number of your own photos you upload but the cost is reasonable if you want to a bigger project. The free one below was made in about 4 minutes just as a demo.

The compliments of the season to you all. Trish

Your Knowledge Can Pay You Extra Retirement Income

Is there a topic that you have become particularly knowledgeable about? Have you had particular challenges in your life that you had to overcome? Do you have a hobby or a craft that you have a compelling interest in? Perhaps, you perfected a skill in a particularly technical area during your career. Did you ever think that you knew a better way to accomplish something, if only you had the chance?

All of us have some area of our lives that we have focused on enough to develop a particular set of skills in or knowledge about. We have come to take our experience, knowledge and skills for granted as we approach or reach retirement age.

What if there was a way that you could set up an “Information Stand” on your own street and have a stream of people arrive at your information stand each and every day. Heck, they each would even pay you a small fee to have their questions on your topic answered! Do you think that this might provide a little extra cash to supplement your retirement income? You bet it would.

Remember your childhood. Did you ever have a lemonade stand on your street on a hot Summer day? Yeah, it was great. Adults would pay 5 cents per cup (some would even pay more) and when you ran out of lemonade, you would simply make up another batch. You could do this until all of the adults had their thirst quenched and then sales would drop off.

Well, you can easily set up an “Information Stand” on the Internet at which to provide answers on the topic of your passion. There are some interesting characteristics of your “Information Stand” that make it better than a lemonade stand:

1. Unlike lemonade, you never run out of Information. In fact, you even gain more and better information as a result of the dialogue and the research that you do in building your Information Stand.

2. You become known as an expert. That’s right, the more activity that you have at your stand, the better you become known as a reliable source of information on your topic. In fact, when this occurs and the perception of your information becomes more valuable, people will be willing to pay more for your information.

3. Unlike the lemonade stand, you can sell the information without you having to be there. You can even sell information while you are asleep or out playing with the other ‘kids’!

4. As word spreads like a virus about your information stand, the sheer number of people coming to your stand will increase exponentially.

5. Instead of being limited to just your street, you can have your Information Stand on the biggest Information superhighway of them all – the Internet!

6. Unlike the lemonade stand, the line of people coming to your Information Stand never ends. In fact, as the word of your Information Stand gets out like a virus on the Internet, you will have an increasing number of people coming to you for answers to their questions. People from all over the world will be coming to your Information Stand all hours of the day and night! If you build it, they will come!

The very best news is that the technology now exists for you to establish your Information Stand on the Internet for an investment of less than $30 and a bit of your time. The software necessary to do this can be downloaded free of charge and the remaining components can be purchased inexpensively (Domain name – $12,  Autoresponder – $20). You can visit my website to view video tutorials that show you exactly how to set up your Information Stand. It could not be easier!

Claim your place on the Internet today. Leverage your experience and knowledge into a stream of supplemental retirement income. You already have the knowledge needed, just carve out your niche and get going. It does not have to be perfect. In fact, it has been said that “Imperfect action is more productive than perfect inaction!” Take your first step today.
