IMA – A Review of Internet Marketing Apprentice

Is this the site that has all you need?

Membership sites are still going strong this year and for good reason – a good membership site can have all the tools and resources you need to get your internet business up and running and making money. The only reason that often they don’t is that you go flitting from one site or ptoject to another (like I used to) and don’t get on and follow the suggestions, plans or programs that these excellent sites offer.

Mind you, they are not all excellent sites, but most are run by people who with integrity and who want to do all they can to get you making money and living the same lifestyle of freedom that they themselves have. SO how do you know if a particular membership site will be one of the good ones?

Here are a few pointers to help you decide:

  • Does the site just seem to be a product with a download area and an optin box for your email?
  • Is there a whole lot of hype and trumpet blowing and very little factual information about what is included?
  • Does the advertising tell you up front that the “free” offering is just a lead in and once you sign up, you’ll have to pay a fee, perhaps a monthly fee, to have any real benefit?

Now, don’t get me wrong  – there is nothing wrong with a membership site that has a monthly fee and offers great value for that fee – I belong to a few of them myself – but they have always been open and honest up front about the pricing structure, letting you decide beforehand whether this is for you.

So, here are some clues that a membership site you are considering is good value:

  • Are you offered something that you deem to be good value before you are even asked for any cash? Especially important for those who are in their early stages and don’t have much to spare yet.
  • What sort of training is on offer?
  • Is it at a level appropriate for your stage of learning? Some sites will only offer basic stuff, while others will bamboozle a beginner, maybe putting them off forever.
  • What other resources are provided? Can you get products to sell, resell, brand or rewrite & make your own?
  • Do they help you get traffic to your sites? After all, the best website ever won’t make any money if nobody sees it!

OK, enough of my views – I want to tell you about a new membership site started by a guy I’ve learned to trust, Randy Smith and his partner Craig Dawber. It’s called Internet Marketing Apprentice (or IMA for short) and it incorporates all the elements I’ve told you to look out for in a good membership site. You can get free coaching newsletters sent every 7 days and you don’t need to pay anything for that.

However, for those who are ready for more, there many aspects to the membership.

Keeping your Brain Active

Free Gift Membership to “Learning to Earn” see below.

If you’re approaching retirement age and wondering what you can do to enjoy a long and healthy life in your golden years then consider adopting the attitude of a lifelong learner. Most people think of lifelong learning as being confined to academic endeavors however the lifelong learning approach covers all areas of life including spiritual, social, academic and physical.

Lifelong learning is based on an attitude of constantly growing and evolving in various areas of your life. The old saying that whenever anything is not growing it is decaying could be just as true for us as humans. No matter what a person’s age there are great benefits to be gained by challenging yourself in the different areas of your life, physical, mental and self-deveopment.

Physical challenges must be appropriate for your level of fitness, but regular exercise of some kind will leep your body healthier and your brain healthier too. Mental challenges do not have to be academic study, they can be a new hobby or interest, a new caring or chrity venture, more involvement with family. The most growth in personal development will come when you take on something that is currently outside your comfort zone (nasty words those, aren’t they? How we love to stay in our comfort zone, even when it isn’t all that comfortable really).

Lifelong learners live by the motto “you’re never too old to learn” and this attitude is a big part of the reason that people who approach life with this mindset are seen to perhaps live longer but definitely enjoy a better quality of life – is the so-called law of nature known as the “use it or lose it” true?

It does seem to be the case that those who are considerably inactive develop mobility problems as they age, whereas those who are quite active do not develop these mobility problems. A similar effect takes place with anyone who takes no part in any mentally challenging activity or pursuit. After years of mental inactivity

Easily Add a Banner to Your Blog

Adding a banner to your blog, at the top, middle or bottom of posts or in a sidebar has always been very time-consuming and a bit of a fiddle for me. Today I’ve tried out the Max Banner Ads plugin from maxblogpress.com and it is so simple, a beginner could get banners up in no ti,e at all. See the banner at the top of my home page.

Apart from being able to choose the poition of the banner, you can also have rotating ads, so that when you refresh or re-visit the page, there is a different banner being shown. There are various ways to add the banner, from a URL or upload from your PC.  If you are promoting an affiliate product and they give you html or java code, you  just select the option “Other Text Ads / Flash / Javascript ….” and paste the code in. Easy as pie and I had mine done in less than 2 minutes.

The free version shows “Powered by Max Banner Ads” underneath. Although you can remove this if you purchase the Pro version, you can easily embed your clickbank hoplink, so worth considering leaving it there.

The help is very detailed and easy to understand – there are “How to…” pages for just about anything you could think of such as:

  • How to add banner to your blog
  • How to add Adsense, Adbrite and other (text, flash, Javascript) Ads
  • How to add ads at the sidebar of the blog
  • How to add multiple groups of ads in the same placeHow to show banner to certain pages only
  • How to show & rotate more than one banner in the same zone …….

The video on how to use Max Banner Ads and all the features is extremely well done, runs for over 9 minutes and goes into all the detail  including  you need to get going. All in all, I find this to be a highly recommended plug-in for people wanting to maximise both their promotions and their time. Doesn’t that include all of us?

Best wishes,
Trish

There is a science — a formula — to getting rich

Almost everyone has their own theory on how to survive the recession, such as:

1. Keep/protect your job
2. Move in while others are distracted
3. Earn extra money where you can
4. Evaluate your mortgage
5. Refinance high interest credit cards
6. Reduce spending as much as you can
7. Haggle your way to savings on purchases
8. Conserve energy and reduce your home bills
9. Don’t take on any unnecessary debts

I really could go on and on with suggestions like this, but I’m pretty sure you’ll know it all already. You can Google it for yourself anyway and find plenty more advice from every Tom, Dick and Harry out there.

So let’s get straight to the point.

With so many ways and so much advice, how come not everyone gets rich? How come not everyone who reduces their spending get rich? How come not everyone who has an education get rich? How come not everyone who starts a business get rich?

Because it’s not about what you do, it’s about how you do it. No matter how many ways there are, if you don’t do it RIGHT — whichever method you choose — it won’t bring RESULTS.

So what is the ONE right thing that you need to do to get rich?

Bob Proctor & Jack Canfield are men who know and they want to tell you that there is a science — a formula — to get rich. It’s about doing certain things in a certain way. This blueprint has been proven to make anyone get rich across centuries.

So before you waste your time trying out endless ways blindly, get this one formula that will transform your financial future.

Send your free Earth Day ecard now!

Frederikke and Timothy from ojolie.com have added a new card called “Blue Planet” to their selection of  animated ecards just in time for Earth Day on 22nd April.  The wildlife in the card, especially the dolphins, our intelligent counterparts below water, have an important message to deliver.

Earth Day, held on April 22 each year, marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970 and is  now celebrated around the world.

Earth Day 2009 will herald the beginning of the “Green Generation Campaign”; a two-year project culminating with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010. The Green Generation’s core principles are:

1.  A carbon-free future based on renewable energy that will end dependency on fossil fuels, including coal.

2.  A commitment to responsible, sustainable consumption on an individual level

3.  Creation of a new green economy that addresses poverty by creating millions of quality green jobs and sees the global education system transform into a green one.

For those of you who missed helping to save energy during Earth Hour on March 28th, here is another chance to spread the word about helping our environment by sending Frederikke’s delightful card to your friends.

John Thornhill’s Coaching Program

Report at the end of John Thornhill’s 16 Week Coaching Program

I am very grateful to John for putting his coaching program together and wish I had been able to do it several years ago before I got into the bad habit of flitting from one idea to another and getting nowhere financially.

Each time I discovered a great new product, I had to have it while there was a special offer, the result being that I didn’t focus on one process and apply myself to it. For example, I purchased John’s product, Resale Rights Blueprint when it first came out, approx one year ago, worked through about the first 4 days, then drifted off to look at something else. If I had just continued with Resale Rights Blueprint till the end, it would have been bringing me in a nice income by now as I had all the information I needed to launch a successful business.

So when I was able to join the 16 week coaching program, I jumped at the chance, believing it would force me to stay on one course. In fact I am still behind. The 16 weeks have gone by and I still don’t have my product, Online Home Business Success on clickbank, but I don’t feel that I have failed this time because I am still working on getting it listed and I expect this to be completed in one or two more weeks.

The experience has brought home to me again that it doesn’t matter how good the course material is, if you don’t put the work in, you won’t succeed. We are each responsible for making success happen in our own lives, no-one else can do it for us, no matter how much they would like to or how good their programme is.

John’s training material is excellent, very detailed and easy to follow, even for beginners. Although I was already familiar with many of the processes in the earlier weeks, such as getting domain name, hosting and FTP, the videos were still very helpful as a refresher and to learn a different and sometimes easier way of doing things. The later lessons have expanded and focussed my internet marketing education so that I now believe I have enough knowledge to create and market many more new products.

This increased confidence in my own ability to succeed with internet marketing, despite all the doubts and negative comments of people around me is a big bonus. Having the coaching material always available for students to refer back to at any time is like the safety net under a tight-rope walker.

I understand that it won’t happen overnight, but I have a determination to make this succeed that I didn’t have before.

Summing up, I thank John sincerely for putting this program together, for all the help he gives his students and for the value he puts into all his products. His genuine desire to help people shows through and is greatly appreciated.

Do you have balance in your life?

Do you have some days when you just don’t seem to get very much done? Days when you’ve been busy doing things, but at the end of it all, you wonder whether you’ve achieved anything worthwhile?

Perhaps we all need to take a step back when this is how we feel, to reassess our lives and see if it is all work, work, work! We need to keep balance in our lives; balance between work, family, education, recreation, health and whatever other area that is important to each of us, but when we find ourselves pushed for time, when days just don’t seem long enough, these other areas of our lives are often pushed down our priority list.

Is it any wonder we feel frazzled sometimes? The constant pressure can lead us to feel dissatisfied with our lives and who we are. The old saying about “take time to smell the roses” is very good advice. Of course it doesn’t have to be roses; for you it might be a walk along the beach or through a rainforest, chatting with a friend, playing with children, watching a funny movie, reading a book, spending time in your garden or making something with wood, but whatever it is that revitalises you, helps you to focus on the pleasures of life rather than the problems, than that is what you need to find a few moments to do on a regular basis to keep your life in balance. Take some time out from worries to have fun & experience pure enjoyment instead.

Balance helps us to be at peace with ourselves and those around us, helps us to see things from a wider perspective and allows us to like ourselves much better. When you are happy with the person that you are, it is a whole lot easier to accept others, too; to accept their differences, to value new experiences, to learn new things and rediscover the joy of living that young children intuitively have.

Start now; make some time for fun in your day.
